Satin Sugar Named Innovation of the Year
by Chatelaine Magazine.
Toronto, Ontario - 9/1/2006
Chatelaine Magazine, one of Canada's premier woman to woman magazines, named Satin Sugar Hair and Body Refreshing Powder for Darker Hues, the Innovation of the Year for 2006.

The judging panel was comprised of four of Canada's most well respected authorities on beauty: Carlene Higgins, Associate Editor of Flare, Tracey Lo Hung, Senior Beauty Editor at Chatelaine, Camilla Kay, Beauty and Style Director at Glow and Jackie Shawn, International Makeup artist.

“Satin Sugar was inspired by the girls at the office. We were always complaining that we wanted to look good without the fuss and always wanted to smell good and look refreshed before heading out to a meeting or an event. It only seemed fitting that we create an innovative, delicious smelling powder that we could use not only on our hair but also on our body" says founder of Cake Beauty, Heather Reier.

"Satin Sugar is unlike anything on the market right now- we saw a niche and went for it. To be awarded the Innovation of the Year is a huge honour and reinforces the fact that modern women need quality products that save time - and that is exactly what Satin Sugar provides, time savings and indulgence!"
