I received my order, and I changed my mind and don’t want my order or an item? If you don’t like your ‘piece’ of cake that’s ok….everyone’s tastes are different. We hope that you will find another ‘piece’ in our collection that you will enjoy more. Should you decide that you need to return an item, we will refund your purchase with original receipt. Cake Beauty will accept returned items in the original packaging within 15 days of purchase. All refunds are credited to the original pay method- no cash refunds. Of course, we cannot take returns on overly used products- you can’t have your cake and eat it too this time… Does Cake have a catalog? In an effort to be environmentally friendly, we have chosen to use our web site, www.cakebeauty.com, as our online catalog. Our web site features available products, key ingredients, email sign up, retailers, upcoming events and new product details.
Does Cake Beauty test on animals? We absolutely DO NOT conduct animal testing with Cake Beauty products. We use only ingredients that have been deemed safe by Health Canada & FDA regulations and are fully committed to testing on “beauty junkies” only to ensure the safety of our products.
Are any of your ingredients derived from animals? The only ingredients that we use that are derived from animals/insects are: milk proteins (derived from whole milk of cows), beeswax & raw honey (derived from bees)
Do any of your products contain gluten? The only product that contains gluten derived from wheat protein is satin sugar replenishing hair conditioner. PLEASE NOTE: if you have celiac disease, severe allergies or any sensitivities we recommend that you read all ingredient labels very carefully and consult your physician when in doubt.
Where are Cake Beauty’s products made? Cake Beauty is proudly Canadian and all of our products are made locally within Ontario, Canada.
What are parabens? Parabens such as propylparaben, ethylparaben and butylparaben are synthetic preservatives commonly used in cosmetics and personal care products like shampoo, skin cream and deodorant. Parebens are suspected to be endocrine disruptors, and have been found to mimic estrogen in some laboratory tests. Many people have allergic reactions to these preservatives causing skin rashes and irritation. Needless to say, there is a great ongoing debate as to the safety of products containing parabens hence Cake Beauty moved to remove all parabens from our products in 2007. We are 100% paraben free.
